Inspired by a 70’s series of Italian potteries, Bud Vase has the shape of a refined totem, almost as if it was levitating. In this vase exoskeleton, empty space is what matters more, poetry arises from asymmetry and play between the metal, the plant and the container you will choose. Put a mug, a glass or a vase on the central shelf and place the flower, the leaf or the branch of your choice. Then, admire.
You can also simply put a dried flower without any container.
Manufacturing details
The 1.5 mm thick brass slab comes from Auvergne. It is mass worked, to coerce the matter and see how it reacts. Thus, it is heated and arched to get a 24 cm high rectangle without any weld. The two 4 cm high legs are the only parts welded with silver, a jewellery technique. Finally, we perform a circular brushing with 3 different brushes to give the brass a special texture, in our workshop in Béarn.
